Is there a local area near you that needs some TLC? Why not organise a community group to tidy it up? Alternatively, persuade your local Council to allow you to create a community orchard in your area. Could you offer to volunteer within a local school to encourage children to care for the natural environment?
Whaaaat?!?! Ok so I highly doubt I’ll be planting a tree anywhere because I don’t technically own a garden and I don’t think the council would approve of a request to plant a tree randomly.
However, for the past two years P1 has got herself a Christmas tree from visiting Santa at the local garden centre. So she’s technically growing two trees that will have to be planted at some point.
