40 Acts – Day 6 – Be A Mentor

Consider becoming a mentor to a younger person. Perhaps someone at your church, at your work or a family member or a friend. It could catch on and span generations.

The word mentor means an advisor. Or to advise or train.

This is going to be a tricky one because I’m constantly at home. My mum told me to teach my brother how to do the clothes washing. Sounds good. Apart from the fact he is extremely hard to tear away from his Xbox/computer AND it’s currently the school holidays.

I’m already a mentor to my daughters. I teach P1 about life every day. And P2 is slowly taking in the world around her and learning facial expressions to accompany her moods.

    ….every once in a while, it’s fun to turn the power-breaker off, and pretend the PS3 “just isn’t working now thanks to the stupid electric company”. : ) That’s usually when we get him to do all sorts of fun things…clean gutters, etc. : )
