I was stuck in all that M25 traffic yesterday. It was after having a really nice day with my Mum. Recently, we haven’t really been able to enjoy any girlie time together, that’s partly why we are moving, so we can rekindle our relationships.
My Mum kitted out P1 with her new uniform for her new school in Kent. So I took us over there, we spent a lovely afternoon with my MiL and even got to view the new house. We left at 5:30pm and then hit the traffic.
It’s times like that when I’m very thankful for having an automatic car. We experienced a journey of crawling/being stand still, the girls crying at various points, P1 being overly chatty and hyper, and my Mum moaning about how much stuff she’s got to do at home!
After having to detour from the dartford crossing off to the Blackwall Tunnel, we arrived home at nearly 11pm! A journey that usually takes 45minutes to nearly 6 hours. It doesn’t give my Mum much hope for when she comes and visits us over in Kent.
Oh well we are all safe and I’m currently laying in bed when I should be packing………
