Baby Yoga

I hate Mother (Parent) and Baby Groups… As in I feel so uncomfortable about them not that there’s anything actually wrong with the groups. I always feel like people are watching me and judging me because I am a young Mum. I felt slightly out of place at the Breast Feeding group and thought I was definitely more suited to a paid group of some sort.

Well a few weeks ago I won a Facebook competition to win 3 free sessions of Baby Yoga with Bouncing Baby Yoga which is only up the road from us. Excellent!! I’m a great believer in try before you buy.

I had a really rubbish night with P2 again, awake every two hours so this morning I was rather reluctant to get out of bed. But I did, and turned up with 15 minutes to spare. I didn’t want to be late for our first session because I knew people would definitely look at me then.

The lady who runs the yoga sessions was lovely, very welcoming and friendly. P2 was awake and we chose a mat to sit on and wait for the other Mums. It was a very friendly bunch of mums and I felt very relaxed – always handy when doing yoga.

P2 enjoyed the warm up. She was busy looking around and watching the other mums and babies. She barely looked at me.

Before the warm up session had ended P2 was typically sound asleep. She didn’t even cry, just sucked happily on her dummy and fell fast asleep.

I looked like a right wally doing a baby yoga session without my baby but it gave me a chance to watch properly and I really think we’ll benefit from it. P2 finally woke up when I put her in her carseat ready to go home!!!

Two more sessions to go and some begging to my OH to pay for a set of sessions. I will have a beach body by my birthday!
