BBC Children In Need 2013

We’ve spent the whole evening watching every bit of BBC Children In Need. Both my hubby and I shed quite a few tears.

People think that kids are so flexible to everything. I could definitely see that in the stories that were told tonight. They are flexible, but they are not indestructible. Things do effect children in ways we could never imagine. Sometimes they cope better than us adults. Sometimes they don’t.

I admire the way those children, and others across the world, adapt to life changing events. Like losing limbs or losing a mother or sibling. I could never cope the way they do, see the bright side, that would never be me.

I’m struggling to cope with the fact I’ll never see my Nan again. It’s hard. With Christmas coming up I keep saying “Nan & Grandad” and then have to correct myself. But losing a child would be so much more unbearable to an extent I could never imagine and pray I’ll never know.

Children are amazing. It’s even more amazing that we’ve raised over £24,000,000 to help all sorts of children that need so many amazing adults to help make dreams happen.

Going to bed very emotional and truly thankful to have a healthy family. Keep donating!!!!!
