#BLOGMAS Day 7 – My Favourite Grotto Experiences

We are a week in to the whole blogmas thing. I hope you are enjoying the posts I’ve created so far and will keep coming back this Christmas season. So I’m sure a lot of you have already booked to see Santa, we’ve already seen him three times already this year but I wanted to share my very favourite grotto experiences and hope that you can still book too.

Marsh Farm Father Christmas Experience

This is a pretty expensive grotto trip however it’s a completely different one too. It’s more of a journey through different stages of Santa’s workshop and heading through the North Pole. The Marsh Farm Father Christmas Experience has got to be our favourite Christmas experience though, the characters are all lively and the atmosphere is magical. This one is on Marsh Farm which is in Essex but it’s well worth the 1 hour travel time for us.

Probably the most expensive experience due to the fact it’s part of a holiday break at Bluestone Resort. Last year we experienced it for the first time and I loved how enthusiastic everyone was there. They really get you involved. You feel totally taken into a new world as everything is decorated amazingly. Christmas at Bluestone is a pretty beautiful time to be there as the swimming pool is also decorated and they have Christmas activities on during the day too. Bluestone Resort is in Wales but you can book some great deals in advance.

Westfield Grotto

We have been to this grotto twice. We’ve experienced a Shrek one and a Kung Fu Panda version. This year is Santa’s Snowflake Grotto. As it is in a shopping centre the grotto is a small experience, lasting about 20-3o minutes but in the past they have been super interactive and the girls have really enjoyed it. This year’s grotto sounds so beautiful and tickets are a really reasonable price too!

Alton Nursery Garden Centre

Going to Altons Garden Centre to see Father Christmas was something I did with my Grandparents every year. It was special to me and will always hold a spot in my heart. This tradition then moved on to my eldest daughter and she would go with my Grandparents each year too. They usually give you a tiny Christmas tree and a gift from FC. It’s a lovely little grotto and very traditional. Again this is in Essex but a really lovely grotto experience if you live nearby.

Coolings Nature Trail

This is the one we now go to every year as a tradition with my MiL. It’s in the local Nature Trailthat we adore. Again its a grotto experience purely to see Father Christmas but they have a lovely shed area that is decorated for Christmas beforehand. What I love about this one is that they do not rush you at all which is great for eager P2 who loves to talk the ears of a Santa!!

So there’s my must visit grotto experiences. Have you ever visited somewhere that’s truly imprinted on your heart? Leave a comment below.
