Celebrating His 25th Birthday & Easter with Balloon Time

A few months ago we were asked to be part of the Celebration Club for Balloon Time. The time scaled fitted perfectly with my hubby’s 25th birthday so naturally I thought this was a great excuse to throw a party for him.

Hubby does so much for us as a family and I really wanted to show him just how much I appreciate him. I liased with his Mum (my MiL) and begged her for the use of her garden because I had an idea all of my own for once. Hubby has wanted to hire a bouncy castle for a long time but we don’t have our own garden at the moment, I thought this would be such a fun thing to do for hubby and the girls. I decided to keep the whole thing a surprise including inviting his whole family. I kept it secret for a long time but had to blab about the castle (not the guests) when I needed to take money from our budget.

The bouncy castle arrived just on time and we headed to my MiLs soon after as the girls were super excited. When we arrived the girls had a little bounce whilst I got hubby to work blowing up the balloons with the Balloon Time Helium Kit.

The Balloon Time helium tank kit comes with 30 latex balloons. The tank is really easy to use and theres just three simple steps; turn green valve, place neck of balloon onto black nozzle and then push down until balloon is at the desired size. My MiL is known for being the balloon lady, and I made her refrain from buying any predone ones from the shop so that we could use the Balloon Time tank. We filled a couple of the Frozen foil balloons and about 10 of the provided latex balloons. There’s still plenty of helium left in the tank.

Here’s the Balloon Time helium tank in action:

No party is complete without balloons!!

I’m glad I chose to do the party on Easter day because it made it a little bit more special. The weather was so beautiful compared to the previous few days. It wasn’t exactly warm but it was certainly warm enough to sit outside and enjoy the sun and bouncy castle. My MiL organised another one of her legendary Easter Egg hunts. She always comes up with great ideas and labeled the prizes with different coloured stickers so the kids were looking for their own colour rather than a free for all.

When I organised the bouncy castle, I was really worried that it wouldn’t be worth the money and it would be sat unused for the majority of the day. A novelty thing. It was the complete opposite. It literally had someone on it all day, even hubby’s Grandad got on and had a go. Gold stars to him! I think it’s things like this that make me feel lucky that I’m a younger parent so that I can join in with the girls and have fun without getting too worn out too quickly. The bouncy castle was certainly worth the money and hubby wants to do it again.

In the afternoon we had some delicious food cooked by my MiLs partner and then the adults got to participate in an adult Easter Egg Hunt which was planned out so we were in couples and sort of played tag to grab the prizes. I even got an extra egg when it came to home time as one of the kids had lodged one in the bottom of my shoe. We had such a wonderful day enjoying the gorgeous Spring weather, family, food and the bouncy castle. The balloons did deflate slightly but I think that’s because they spent a lot of the day being blown about outside.

We now have chocolate and prizes coming out of our earholes and I certainly need to get back onto the fitness regime to burn off all the millions of extra calories I’ve consumed this weekend. I’m so thankful for the family we have in our lives that made this weekend super special for hubby and for the girls too! It was magical.

I created a little video of our day that I hope you’ll enjoy. What did you get up to this Easter weekend?

I’m working with BritMums and Balloon Time as part of the “Celebration Club”, highlighting inventive and fun ways of using balloons. I was provided with a Balloon Time helium kit and have been compensated for my time. All editorial and opinions are my own. Visit www.balloontime.com for more information and party inspiration.
