A Chilly Winters Walk

One of my goals this year is to document my personal life better than I did last year. I want to document every little moment. I’m not entirely sure if it will always be a diary style post, maybe just pictures or a mixture of the two but it’s important to me to go back to the very beginning and do what I loved. Write about my life.

In that limbo week between Christmas and New Year, we barely left the house. We all stayed in our pyjamas pretty much the entire time. It felt good to be chilled out, to potter about the house and spend time bonding with the girls. But it also felt a little like prison and I began to crave some fresh air. So on the first clear day with no rain, we decided to head to our local Nature Trail.

It was absolutely freezing that day. We were all wrapped up warm, the girls had their cute little hats on and we all had our wellies. The was barely a cloud in the sky, it was a bright peaceful blue, ice covered everything including the muddy floor which was now solid and frozen.

I love the nature trail, I have since we first visited before we’d even moved to Kent. It’s come so far since then, I swear it changes every time we go through the ever changing weathers and also improvements. It’s a safe place for the girls to explore but also has a small selection of animals to feed and view.

It’s only a short trip each time we go but it’s enough to get some fresh air and a little bit of exercise too. The girls love it there and I can always capture some beautiful photos of them. Our winters walk ended a little abruptly as our feet began to turn numb from the icy ground and frosty air. I’ll let my photos do the talking for the rest of this post! Enjoy!!
