You don’t realise just how much you rely on something until it’s gone.
My mum had the day off yesterday purposely to make P1 feel special and take her out. I decided to go along with them with P2 as our first official outing. We went to the local indoor play area Tumbletown. P1 really loves this place. She’s always so happy to go off and play.
It had been a lovely day – apart from the air conditioning freezing my mum and I as we sat and watched. up until I went to the toilet. My iPhone decided it didn’t like my coat pocket anymore and took a plunge straight down the loo!!!! Typical.
The screen started flashing, the colours faded and lines appeared over the screen. I quickly turned it off and dried it. My phone then spent 24hours in a bag of Asda Smart Price rice hung on the radiator.
However, my darling expensive iPhone 5 now doesn’t switch on. I’m devastated to say the least and it hasn’t gone down too well with my OH. He’s right though… I definitely shouldn’t have taken my phone with me to the toilet – it’s not the first time this has happened – but it’s not like I held it over the loo and threw it down there!
So I’m without a phone, without a watch, without instant access to my emails, without my app I’ve been using to track feeds nappy changes and sleep for P2, without a camera, without quick access to my blog and Facebook but most of all I’m without contact to my OH. The hardest thing is that I won’t be able to get it fixed or swapped until Thursday at the earliest.
Devastated!!!!!!!!
Found your blog via Netmums and I would be devestated if my Iphone took a trip down the loo too! However if you wanted to throw it down the loo you should of gotten yourself the following phone instead
My OH is getting me a waterproof case for it. And I have strict instructions not to take it anywhere near water. Oooops.
