As a child I spent many holidays with my Grandparents at a farm. My Grandad had a very close friend who owned a farm in Somerset and we used to go over to help him manage the farm.
I have very very fond memories of this farm – unfortunately the friend died and the farm was sold. A huge part of me really wishes my girls could have the childhood I had and the memories I created whilst being on that farm.
One thing that always stick by me is the smell of the farm. As strange as this is going to sound – the smell of cow poop! It instantly takes me back to when I helped my Grandad muck out the cows. So when we go over to Marsh Farm it always sparks amazing memories.

We didn’t have a farm, but my mother used to raise chickens, ducks and pigs in our backyard. The smell sure does bring back memories.
Hmmm…PINK wellies and all 😉
I’ve always been a fan of wellies hehe
…and PINK it seems.
I grew up on a farm so those farm smells send me back too! I think it has also got to be music for me! ABBA or Queen always send me back! X
