Father’s Day 2017 Gift Ideas

Father’s Day is probably the only celebration of the year that I really struggle with. I mostly end up forgetting about it and having to print off a printable card from a random website. But this year, with the thanks to Hallmark and Tesco, they’ve reminded me all about Father’s Day and even helped me get prepared.

Tesco have a brilliant selection of cards. I was even super impressed to find Step-Dad ones too which will come in handy for my own step dad. The variety of choice is superb with cute animal cards for the younger giver, to glittery modern styles and ones with funny quotes. The prices are very reasonable too. For a more luxury card, they have some great pop out ones and I love the garden shed one.

With a card sorted, it is time to move on to the tricky part, sorting a present. I find this the hardest part of buying for my husband. I have four great ideas that don’t cost an arm and a leg but still have a really precious value to them. Firstly, I don’t think you can go wrong with a box of chocolates. With any luck he’ll share them with the kids and you so it’s a win for all the family. Secondly and probably quite a popular choice for a present, is a pair of socks.

The next two gifts are absolutely brilliant in my opinion and can all be found at Tesco. It is actual a real artistic idea to buy a plain white t-shirt and some T-shirt Graffiti pens. Let your children decorate and style a shirt for their Daddy. It’ll make a perfect keepsake or if your hubby is brave enough, a super cute top to wear. You can even buy two for just £8 so if you have more than one child they can create their own gift.

The final present idea is to create gingerbread men to be gifted, or even for Daddy to do with the kids together. Tesco have really inexpensive Gingerbread Mix which is perfect for Dad’s that are not so at home in the kitchen. All you need to add is butter, water and some golden syrup. My girls really enjoyed decorating them with icing and they gave them to Hubby very proudly.

I have been given some great ideas for the future, thanks to Tesco and Hallmark. Gifts don’t have to be extravagant and can still be really special without costing lots of money. Hopefully you gathered some ideas for this Father’s Day and I hope your Daddy’s have a brilliant and special day!
