Firstly I’d like to apologise to all the bloggers that attended BumpPRs 4th birthday party yesterday. I promise I’m not a complete social recluse – well only half. I am suffering from a cold which is why I tried to keep myself separate from all the other bloggers. I am quite shy in general especially as this was only my second blogging event that I’ve attended. I feel quite small in the blogging world, everyone already knows each other and I lack the confidence go up to people.Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUMPPR!! And thank you very much for inviting my little family along to your party at the V&A Childhood Museum.
We woke early and caught the train. We literally got onto the platform and stepped straight onto the train… What great timing! It was a smooth journey and we arrived with plenty of time for a toilet stop and bum change before walking into a very colourful room full of the team at BumpPR.The day was packed full of activities, food, bloggers, prizes, hoppers and cake!l
The girls enjoyed playing pass the parcel, creating dinosaur plates, having a story and playing dress up. I enjoyed the talk and putting a real life face to some of my favourite blogs!
The food spread was amazing. Such a selection of sandwiches and little wraps. P1 ate without a fuss and even asked for more!! Hubby was very impressed.
After the party we were allowed to look around the museum. By then hubby and I were pretty much drained. We’ve accumulated about 6 hours sleep in two nights and hubby’s back has been playing up again mixed with us both having colds. But we didn’t want to pass up the chance of looking after as P1 really enjoys museums. P2 at this point was soundo in the pram.
P1 was amazed at all the old toys. I’ve never seen her so excited, pointing and shouting for me to look at certain things. Explaining to her what some of the odd things were. I’m definitely glad that we had a little look around.
The journey home wasn’t as straight forward. I’d misread my national rail app the night before about going to Liverpool Street Station. I thought you had to get another train, but turns out it was a bus. But it didn’t matter, P1 has never been on a London bus and she thoroughly enjoyed it.
It was a wonderful day. I hope that BumpPR enjoyed their day as much as we did! Thank you for the amazing goodies from many companies. Please vote for me in the UK Blog Awards 2014 in the following two categories: (voting closes on 26th January 2014) Young Persons Award (18-25)
