Normally when my Bostik box arrives I plan an activity for the kids to create so that it’s more adult led and they can focus a bit better. But this time I handed over the reigns to my seven year old. Getting crafty keeps her calm when she’s having a bit of a bad behaviour day. I think it helps to focus her mind more and that’s just what she needed this specific afternoon after school.
The theme this month was jungle and so the box had lots of brightly coloured items to get crafty with. There was animal print paper, a variety of foam animals, feathers, pipe cleaners and buttons. There was also a lovely square canvas which P1 eyed up immediately and decided to make a photo for her room (one day she’ll have a lovely room of her own so I’m keeping this by for that).
This craft was so easy to create and could be done with any matierals really. Even paint. P1 stuck the animal print paper onto the canvas, she then used features and pipe cleaners to boarder the photo. She loved picking out the different foam animals to create her scene and used a yellow button to represent the sun. I also love how she made this lollipop animals too.
Disclosure: I have been provided with these materials for the purpose of this post from Tots100/Bostik Bloggers 2016.
