LeapFrog Learn & Groove Musical Mat Review

As the girls have aged we seem to have less toys that make a noise. I can’t say I’ve missed them if I’m honest, all the repetitive songs and phrases. However, we were recently sent the LeapFrog Learn & Groove Musical Mat and you’ve guess it, it’s musical! I have to admit, there was a few arguments at first because they all wanted to be involved but after some coaxing we managed to settle them all down for some fun.

The Learn & Groove Musical Mat is suitable for ages 2 years to 5 years but if I’m honest my 7 year old has definitely got the most fun out of it straight away as she understood the numbers and instructions. The Musical Mat is designed to help gross motor skills, music, rhythm and of course numbers.

There are three modes of play; Explore, Music and Game. There’s over 50 songs and phrases too so although it is a little repetitive in an adults point of view, the children absolutely love it. Switching between game modes is really easy, all the children have to do is stomp the little foot button.

I really like the bright colours on the mat and all the different cute animal characters. Each circle has a number, an animal, a different musical instrument and then music notes corresponding to the number. The LeapFrog Learn & Groove Musical Mat is definitely a really fun and active way to learn. The girls favourite mode to play is definitely the game mode as they are instructed to hop, waddle, spin and many other movements to each number/animal.

I really think this is a brilliant toy for getting the kids up and active as well as sharing in a two player game. You can get the LeapFrog Learn and Groove Musical Mat for £24.99 which personally I think is an absolutely amazing price!
