Letter To My Princess 2 – 2 Years 4 Months

To my Princess 2,

This past month has seen you really change. You now seem like a little girl rather than a toddler.

You are walking more and more. I wonder if we really need a double buggy half the time. You walk to playgroup, to Gymboree and to the park. It’s making life so simple.

You’re speech is just incredible. We can actually have a full conversation where you answer back in a full sentence. I’ve noticed you have a slight lisp which I really believe was probably due to the dummy you had for two years! You have finally, well very nearly, mastered saying your big sisters name after calling her “rah” for such a long time.

2 year 4 month

Believe it or not you are growing in confidence. I think you like to know something rather than be thrown in the deep end and when you know that person or place, then that’s when you allow people to see the real you. Confident and bubbly.

We have just changed all your clothes from 18-24months to 2-3years although you’ve even been wearing 3-4 in some things. I think that has contributed to the big girl look a bit more.

I am so incredibly proud of the way you are so calm and caring towards your baby sister. If she pulls at your skin or tries to take your food, you just allow her. You don’t react to it in a nasty way at all and that’s lovely.

You are desperate to be like your big sister although you both clash quite a bit which upsets me. It’s not your fault though but I hope that you’ll find a happy medium to be able to get along as you do love her so much.

This year of being two is zipping past already and I want to slow it down so we can have just a few more cuddles.

I love you.

Mummy x

I’m thinking of printing them all off actually and storing them in a folder that they can have each.
