It will be no surprise to those of you who have been reading my blog for a while, that we made a trip to Marsh Farm Animal Adventure Park this half term. It’s one of our favourite places to go for a day out.
Marsh Farm has a great mixture of outdoor playgrounds, a few farm animals to see and the entertainment of different characters during seasonal events. The new COVID safety measures have certainly changed the way Marsh Farm is, but I’m grateful for them being so careful.
The indoor soft play is still closed despite the government allowing them to open but with nicer weather on the horizon, this isn’t a problem. I’ve actually found the facilities to be more clean and pleasant to use these days so that’s a huge bonus of the current situation.
Recently, our trips have been filled with wet, cold weather so this time around I was rather excited to welcome the sunshine and warmth. It was actually a sunburn kind of warmth this time! We had to rush back to the car to grab the sun lotion when we realised Hubby’s nose was turning a worrying shade of pink.
Throughout the year there are different events taking place. Our favourites probably being Christmas and Easter each year. This half term its Superheroes and Princesses taking over the farm. There’s a video right at the bottom of this blog post that takes you along on our day out.
We had a brilliantly sunny day out, we even bumped into Kate from Counting To Ten and we hijacked each others’ family day out. It was so good to feel normal and socialise with real people again. Our kids got along well too and it felt rude to peel them away from each others company.
We managed to safely enjoy the ferret racing and at the end of the day, Elsa enjoyed playing in the sandpit whilst the other two played crazy golf. It felt like a relaxed day out and almost normal.
I’m looking forward to the rest of the summer event schedule and hope that we can all continue to enjoy days out safely together. I am especially excited about Christmas because we had to miss it last year which was so incredibly sad!
I filmed our day out which you can enjoy below. I’d highly recommend a day out at Marsh Farm if you have children.
