My Sunday Photo – 03/05/2015

We’ve had a pretty normal week this week. Nothing out of the ordinary except a play date for P1. This weekend, P1 and P2 have been with their Grandparents for their usual monthly sleepover and so we’ve been left with just P3. Previous months we have shipped P3 to my MiL for some child free time to have a meal together but this month we’ve focused on getting the house back in shape.

So this is my Sunday photo, taken today, of P3 surrounded by a huge mountain of soft toys all, except a few, belonging to P1. It’s hard to realise that once upon a time all of these sat on top of her bed! This photo doesn’t do the pile justice really. It was above my knees in height.

We have sorted all of their bedroom and downstairs of toys ready for a boot sale. The soft toys have been sorted into TYs, Disney and memorable toys and the rest will be going to a charity shop or boot sale.

I’m actually really pleased with the progress we’ve made this weekend. Although I don’t think our house will ever look in order because quite frankly, there’s five of us living in a two bedroom house. I’m now quite happy with the way we’ve organised things though and have just one tiny area to figure out – under the stairs!

How do you store your soft toys?

Oh it certainly is. Our kitchen is still a tip though made worse by our outbuilding having a declutter

I know. They’re excellent. Although caused me to have itchy eyes as they’d be stored for a long time. Think I’m allergic to dust!

  6. Amazing piccie, I’d love to crash out on a pile of cuddly toys! If it’s any consolation, we have the same problem with never-ending amounts of sorting despite the fact there’s only two of us in a 4 bedroom house!! I have no idea why/how we have accumulated. Glad you’re making progress X

  7. haha, that’s a great photo. I love a good clear out, although sometimes it feels like I’m on a permanent de-clutter! x

I spend my life picking up toys and get really emotional when they mess things back up after I’ve spent hours tidying. They’ve come home today and emptied out most of my hard work from this weekend.

  8. Such a sweet photo, made me chuckle πŸ™‚

  9. My son’s fluffies are a constant battle! He would love to have them all on his bed, but he would have to sleep on the floor, so we have shelves for some of them!
