Last year, I was heavily pregnant with P3 during the summer and hated the absolutely beautiful sun we had so this year I am determined to enjoy every second of the sun and heat. When we got home from the park or playgroups I really felt like I was missing the sun. We don’t have a garden which means I can’t just open the doors and let the kids run in and out as they please.
It’s not very safe outside the back either. It’s an access way for the other four homes in our terrace and the end (us) doesn’t have a gate or anything preventing the kids from running out and straight onto a busy road. It’s nerve racking and why we have a stair gate on our back door permanently.
This week I was fed up of having to pack a bag and head over the road to the green opposite so I did it in our concreted access way. It’s a nice little sun trap and with the new roof cover it’s very sheltered. You know what, it was lovely. We’ve had two dinners out there now, one session of playdoh, a workout, water play and general chilling in the sun. It’s been amazing.
Aww so nice to find a secret hideaway or in your case sun bathing hideaway! #mysundayphoto
