I never used to like Nutella, I was always a proper chocolate spread kind of girl. Specifically a nice Cadbury one if I was to be picky. But Hubby stopped buying it and went for the Nutella and now we buy it in the kilo… Literally thanks to the new family sized jar. I really enjoy baking and so does P2 but for some strange reason she will never eat her creations. I decided to use Nutella, which they love, to make cupcakes and they went down amazingly! Here’s how you can make some too. Make sure to scroll to the bottom for a printable recipe too!

- 100g Plain Flour
- 140g Caster Sugar
- 20g Cocoa Powder
- 1tsp Baking Powder
- 40g Butter - softened
- 120ml Milk
- 1 Egg
- 120g Nutella
- 250g Icing Sugar
- 80g unsalted Butter
- 25ml Milk
- 80g Nutella
- Preheat the oven to 170°C/325°F/gas mark 3. Place cupcake cases into a cupcake tray.
- Mix together the flour, cocoa powder, caster sugar, baking powder and butter.
- Pour the milk into the mixture and stir thoroughly. Add the egg and stir well.
- Spoon the mixture into paper cases to just over half way and bake for 20 minutes.
- When the cupcakes have cooled, cut a teaspoon sized hole in each cupcake and fill with a spoonful of Nutella. Replace the cake on top and press down gently.
- Make the Nutella icing by beating the icing sugar and unsalted butter together.
- Slowly pour in the milk until light and fluffy.
- Stir in the Nutella by hand until evenly mixed.
- Using a piping bag swirl the icing mixture on top of the cupcakes.
- Pop in the fridge to allow them to set.
- You could add a chocolate treat or even a berry fruit on top for an added extra.

Yum! I am drooling. I love Nutella…hehehe
Hehe!
