Our Good Friday 2016

I needed a good day and what better day than Good Friday. My day started super early, around 5:45am. We were eager to get out with the new double pushchair and also desperate to get some milk as we barely had enough for the night before. So I made breakfast and shoved some clothes on us all so we could head down to Tesco.

Before 9am I had already tidied and been shopping. It felt like the day was going super slow but it didn’t really matter because it gave us lots of time to enjoy Good Friday. In fact, the weather was so fantastic. It felt like summer so we headed to the park to enjoy the weather properly.

I ended up spending two hours there. The girls literally were running around freely, climbing through bushes and exploring. It felt amazing to be sitting in the warmth of the sun and watching the girls be children. Happy and free.

The rest of the afternoon was just as lovely too. Hubby invited his brother over for a play date with the girls (he’s 5) and so the girls had been thoroughly entertained the whole day. Right up until bedtime. Although it really did feel like the day had gone on forever, I ended the evening feeling much more refreshed than the day before.

Did you have a brilliant Good Friday? Was it sunny where you are?
