Pampers #SagGoneGrooveOn

A saggy nappy. We all know them. The type that hangs off your baby’s hips, dangling soggy and wet between their legs. It is making me cringe just thinking about it. I have OCD when it comes to nappies. It has to be on just so or I am forced to redo it, five times if need be. I have even been known to redo a nappy that my MiL has done or hubby, just because it wasn’t how I like it. Which is why I am chief nappy-changer. Lucky hubby!

So when Pampers asked me to take part in a little experiment with one of their newly designed nappies that were set to banish the sag, I just couldn’t say no. We were given a pack of their NEW Pampers Active Fit nappies to test out, a bottle and some scissors for our experiment. The Pampers Active Fit nappies have three absorbing channels, magical pods, that help to distribute liquid up the nappy rather than in one area. This prevents that awful nappy sag.

Or does it? We put the Pampers Active Fit through a strenuous testing. We poured 150ml of water, which according to the people at Pampers this is equivalent to around 2-3 wees which is roughly when you would change your baby. It’s going to sound very strange but when I watched the liquid absorb I felt super excited. Gradually the three channels started to appear across the nappy and the part of the nappy that touches your baby’s skin was completely dry. Watch our experiment for yourself below.

But the most important test would be when P3 wore her nappy. Would these absorbing magical pods really banish the saggy nappy for good? So we switched our usual nappy, admittedly another Pampers range, and starting using the Active Fits. As part of our normal routine we ventured to Gymboree. Gymboree is a very active and fun place for kids so this would put the new nappy to the test. P3 did the usual running, bending, stretching and climbing. The nappy didn’t leak and it did not sag at all.

We have been so pleased with the Pampers Active Fit nappies. They haven’t sagged like our usual ones and I haven’t needed to change them so frequently just because they are sagging around P3s ankles. She’s been able to move around freely and be a busy toddler. The Sag has Gone and the Groove is On!!

These look great! We’ve had the saggy nappy too – its usually when it’s not been on for more than 30 mins and she’s just done one tinkle BUT it makes it look so uncomfy – good to know its not me and just the poor nappy 🙂

The channels do make sense, glad you got on well with them! I prefer cloth nappies for a lot of reasons, but when I’m (frequently) behind on the laundry Toby goes into disposables and I do hate the saggy bum look!xx

  10. Good to hear how you got on. Gymboree looks fun! Commenting for myself and on behalf of BritMums and thanking you for taking part.
