Over the years I have picked up a few signature pieces of jewellery that I wear every single day.
On my left hand, I have my engagement ring and wedding ring, on my right hand I have a ring my Nan and Grandad bought me for my 16th (or 18th) birthday and a bracelet that my Mother-in-law bought me when I gave birth to her first Granddaughter. These are almost never taken off.
I’ve always been a little scared of experimenting with new jewellery, but my Mum used to adore wearing different statement pieces and loved a special accessory for parties or meals out. With her funeral rapidly approaching I wanted to choose some new jewellery to go with my black dress and found inscripture to have so many options that I found it hard to pick!
Eventually, I went with some new earrings and a necklace that I’m excited to share with you.
Sterling Silver Creeper Earrings – £20
I have a weird relationship with earrings that definitely goes through phases. I’ll either never have them on, or wear them all of the time!
When I picked these sterling silver creeper earrings, I knew I needed something that could be worn with anything, that I wouldn’t just wear at my Mum’s funeral but for other occasions and daily life too.
The silver creeper earrings are made from sterling silver with 4 cubic zirconia diamontes. They are stud earrings, so no dangling bits and as a parent of young children, that’s important to me.
These earrings were really comfortable to wear, I nearly forgot to take them out in the evening and pop them back in their cute gift box.
I love the simplicity of the creeper earrings but also the way they glitter in the sunshine. As you can tell, I’m very pleased with my choice.
Rainbow Sterling Silver Necklace – £33
Ever since the pandemic began, Ive wanted to buy something that would always remind me of the tough times. Specifically I wanted something with a rainbow on but never got round to actually getting anything.
I spotted this rainbow sterling silver necklace on the inscripture website and instantly fell in love. Rainbows have become symbols for lots of different causes and organisations but for me, it stems from the bible where a rainbow means hope.
The engraved rainbow is on a 8.5mm sterling silver pendant. It’s a beautiful, simple design with the rainbow appearing out of clouds. I specifically love the little hearts. It’s really cute. The Rainbow pendant hangs on an 18inch chain.
You could also have a name or little message engraved on the reverse for £5 more too which I quite like the idea of. I probably should have had the year engraved but that doesn’t matter too much.
It fits my neck at the perfect length which is surprising because I’m a much smaller than average sized human. I love this necklace so much! I love the meaning behind it and the dainty design.
Inscripture offer free Standard UK delivery and there is worldwide shipping available too.
The quality of the jewellery is amazing and I’m so pleased with my two new items that will be worn on my Mum’s funeral.
I spent hours on their website and have my eye on some special ashes jewellery too. But there’s less sad gifts for men, women and children too. With Mother’s Day coming up, I’d highly recommend taking a look and grabbing yourself a beautiful item to gift a loved one.
Disclosure: The jewellery was gifted to us in exchange for a review. Opinions remain my own.
