To my Princess 3,
I’ve been writing letters to your sisters for a while now and so of course it’s time to start yours. I want you to be able to read back on your childhood, your life and to know who you are and what has shaped you to be the person you are when you finally read this.
I can’t believe you are a month old already. The past few weeks seem to have flown by in a daze. You entered the world dramatically, it was a quick labour and on arrival you gave us all a scare. The placenta came away just before you came out which led to you being in a state of shock and needed a cardiac massage. You spent the majority of your first day in special care. It was a frightening time.
This past month we are beginning to learn that you quite like drama. You’ve had a blood test for jaundice and a slight worry about the size of your head. However, you are growing so rapidly from all the Breastmilk you’re having.
You cry a lot. We’re unsure whether it’s because your big sisters have been poorly so maybe you don’t feel 100% or if it’s colic or if you’re just taking after your daddy, who apparently cried non-stop as a baby too.
Although I’m cherishing every moment I get during your newborn days, I’m really looking forward to seeing how you begin to grow and learn. To see what your smile looks like and to hear you laugh, to watch you interact and play with your sisters and form relationships that will last a lifetime.
You are our last baby and it’s all a little emotional. I want you to have a life filled with happiness and fun.
I love you so much little lady.
Love Mummy x
