How Reading Helps Young Children

Despite the fact I absolutely adore books and reading, I found it really difficult to actually want to read to my first daughter when she was a baby. I never saw the importance of reading to a young child. It’s only really been in the past six months that I have routinely made it part of our bedtime. Now every single night we sit and read at least one book which usually ends up in around two or three. My girls love it and seeing their smiling faces as I take them into a world of imagination and different interpretations makes me feel super guilty for never really taking the time to add it to our bedtime routines. I am really excited to be able to share this really interesting infographic which is brought to you by the Bright Horizons Macintosh nursery child care in Manchester. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
