There’s a lot of speculation around technology and children. I have mixed emotions. I would never plonk the kids in front of The Walking Dead but I don’t see the harm in programmes like good old Mr Tumble. Educational programmes and apps, in my opinion, are fantastic!!!
We’ve been trying out a new app made by Ruta Ett DVD AB called Heroes of the City. We’ve downloaded and tried many children’s based apps for the iPad and many have been boring and either too difficult or far too easy.
I wanted to try the Heroes of the City app myself first before exciting P1. I was blown away! The app is amazing.
There’s plenty of games to challenge and excited children. From a matching cards game, putting out fires and colouring. There’s nothing on the app that’s too difficult to understand what is expected of you.
There’s also many movies of various lengths. The Heroes of the City is based on vehicles that help people; fire engine, police car, train etc. P1 has spent many of her iPad treat time playing on this app and watching all the movies. She’s been extremely entertained and so have I! I’ll let you in on a secret… So did hubby…I’m very excited to announce our newest competition to win some Heroes of the City goodies. We’ve been given as ample of the goodies; a DVD, book & two little car toys. They are just as fab as the app! Please enter using the Rafflecopter below.
