For my OHs anniversary present I booked for him to go indoor skydiving at Airkix in Milton Keynes.
So at 5:30am I was in the bath getting ready for our two hour journey. P1 is spending the day with her Nanny and Grandad.
There’s so much preparation needed for a trip with a newborn. So last night I was packing and repacking the changing bag. Making sure there was enough outfits for any situation we may encounter. Making sure I had enough nappies, wipes and nappy sacks. I am so thankful that I don’t have to worry about bottles and formula milk – P2s meals are all on tap and warm the lucky thing.
We reused P1s first ever pram/travel system for P2 and today I’ve used it as a Moses/bassinet pram for the first time ever! What a new experience. We usually use the carseat part where she’s strapped in and cosy, she was rather confused as to why she was laying down and able to wriggle about. I wasn’t sure whether to strap her in or not as the cover we have only had holes for the side straps not the bottom part so it seemed a bit pointless.
It’s freezing today! I could barely feel my feet the duration of the “flight”. I seriously think I was more excited and nervous than he was. He just took everything in his stride and acted normal! How can anyone be normal when they are about to indoor skydive!!!!
My OH did so well. The smile on his face was wonderful. I love to see him genuinely happy. And P2 slept the whole time allowing me to take lots of photos.
We had planned to check out the shops in Milton Keynes as apparently they have the best shopping area in the UK?! But we were so confused about the colour coded parking that we’ve decided to just go to Lakeside. Plus the parking is free there.
