P2 was very lucky to receive a 30 piece puzzle foam play mat from Soft Floor Kids.
The mat arrived super fast and in see-through packaging which I thought was a great way for free advertising. The mat itself is made from 30 tiles each 30cm X 30cm and 12mm thick. They are made from closed-cell EVA foam which is non-toxic, non-absorbent and formamide free.
P2 enjoyed “helping” me fix together her new play mat. Soft Floor Kids play mats come with detachable edges giving a really neat finish to the mat. The fantastic part about the mat is that each piece is interlocking with every other piece meaning you can really personalise the shape you have.
The pieces have little bumps all over them which is fantastic for grip and helps to prevent slips and falls. Since having the mat in her life P2 has learnt to bum shuffle and she’s slowly getting around the mat which in turn has made her happier and I can get on with some housework uninterrupted.
The 30 piece mat covers 1.53m X 1.83m which is pretty much the whole of the floor space in our lounge. The surface is easily cleaned and luckily does not absorb liquids which I was a bit worried about considering it’s made from foam. We’re delighted with it! P2 rarely cries when she topples over and P1 enjoys swapping all the edge pieces over and using the spare bits as swords.
You can buy the 30 piece Puzzle Foam Mat for £29.95 and there are plenty more options on their website too. This would make a perfect gift for anyone really!!
