Stoats Porridge Lovers Pack Review & Giveaway Bundle

I’m bringing a rather different review and giveaway for you today. It’s all about porridge. In the past year I have been a little obsessed with oats. I’ve made various overnight oat jars to save time and am trying to be braver with flavours too. I personally was pretty thrilled to receive a Porridge Lovers Pack to try out for myself.

Inside the Stoats Porridge Lovers Pack there is a very useful cotton bag, a 750g box of Stoats Scottish Porridge Oats, one box of 5 Multigrain Porridge Sachets, a box of 5 Cranachan Porridge Sachets, 3 different flavours of the Stoats Quick Pot Porridge. I was really surprised that these only cost Β£10 to buy.

Porridge is a really good meal to have as it is a natural, slow release energy food. I am quite picky with the texture of my porridge which is why I get a little anxious when trying out microwaveable sachets, especially flavoured ones. I’ve had another brand before that just tasted like cardboard. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the Stoats Quick Pots and even the sachets. They have a perfect, fluffy texture to them just like the Stoats Porridge Oats.

The Cranachan Porridge Sachets are made up of a blend of Stoats Oats and Barley Flakes. It has tart raspberry pieces and honey for natural flavouring. Then the Multigrain Sachets are a mixture of Stoats Oats, Barley and Rye with pumpkin, chia seeds and linseeds in too for texture and flavour. Oh and of course the added health benefits. The Sachets are cooked either on the hob or in a microwave, making them a perfect addition to your home or work meals.

The little Quick Pots are even simpler to make. They are very much like a pot noodle where you just have to add boiling water and leave to stand for 5 minutes. The flavours are a really good combination and they taste super authentic. I was slightly concerned by the sugar content levels but I’m not a nutritionist so I’m not sure if they are relating to natural sugars or what but 14.2g per pot seems quite high. 

I’ve been really surprised by the quality of Stoats as a brand. I love the packaging as it contains loads of information on the brand and is also recyclable. It’s bright and sophisticated. Most importantly the Stoats Oats actually taste delicious. I would quite like to make some flapjacks with them to see how they turn out as my flapjacks have been a bit hit and miss lately.
