Valentines Day is like marmite; you either love it or you hate it. Which one are you? I have always felt it is a heavily commercialised day of celebration. I don’t believe you should need a specific day to show how much somebody means to you.
We don’t buy gifts for each other, in fact I have been known to print a card off the morning of Valentines. This year we didn’t exchange cards or gifts at all. However, we tend to go out to the cinema or for a meal. It’s a good excuse to for a babysitter after all.
This year the girls were already with my Mum. We’ve actually been child free for just over five days this half term which has been lovely. Hubby and I have been able to chill out, cuddle and go out freely. On Valentines Day we headed to the cinema to watch the new Fifty Shades film. We had a lovely time.
What did you do this Valentines Day?
Ahhh kids free time, it is such a wonderful blessing

I completely agree. We are very lucky. X
We dont celebrate Vday now. Its still so cool to see other people celebrate it though =) #mysundayphoto
What did you used to do to celebrate?
We don’t really do Valentine’s Day but we did mark it with a card
I think it’s all so commercialised.
Nope we don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day, I think this year we went for coffee and a cake.
Thank you for linking up to #MySundayPhoto
Cake sounds like the perfect way to spend Valentine’s Day.
We were in Portugal and I am very guilty to say I didn’t get Hubby a card (I did treat him to a massage at the hotel though)
I’m sure the massage was appreciated though. More than a card!
I sent my husband an e-card in a last minute moment of I don’t know what! We spent the evening with friends watching a movie which was lovely.
This made me chuckle.
