Between 5th and 13th March Sunrise Care Home communities are inviting the public to meet their talented chefs, sample their delicious and nutritious food. We were given one of their Taste of Sunrise Recipe books to try out a recipe at home. We decided to attempt the Sunshine Smoothie.
To make your own Sunshine Smoothie you will need the following ingredients:
- Half a fresh Mango, peeled and chopped
- Half a fresh Peach, peeled and chopped
- Handful of dried Apricots
- 1 small Carrot, peeled and chopped
- 10g of Semi Skimmed Milk Powder
- 90ml of Coconut Milk
It is so simple to make, literally put all ingredients into a blender and blend for around 2 minutes or until smooth.
Serve immediately or pop in the fridge for later.
This super healthy and nutritious for everyone. My daughters especially loved this recipe. Don’t forget to find your local Sunrise Care home and head to sample their menu which is perfect for every age. Our local Sevenoaks nursing home is holding this event too so we are going to head there tomorrow for some food tasting.
