Swimming is something that P1 really struggles with due to her hypermobility and the start of school swimming lessons means a start of several new things for her; swimming without her family being there to give her confidence, she’ll be going on a coach with her class and she’ll be getting undressed/dress all by herself. Meet Chuckles. He’s a Paddlepak Clown Fish from Trunki and he’s P1s brand new swim bag for school. His job is to make P1 feeling more confident and excited about her swimming lessons. Chuckles is made from water-resistant fabric which is designed to keep water out and water in making him a perfect little rucksack for day trips, school and swimming. It has a little hook suitable for hanging the bag up. The bag is extremely light weight which is excellent for P1 or younger children and allows them to have some independence.
There’s no drawstrings that will get tangled, instead Chuckles features a roll top opening which folds over itself giving a very secure seal. When I tried to fold Chuckles to wrap him up for P1 there was air stuck inside, no amount of squeezing released the air from inside the bag which I was very pleased about. The roll top is secured with a clip. The straps are padded and adjustable. They also have reflective strips on them which I think is a genius idea as not many items of clothing these days incorporate this safety feature for night times. There’s also a cute little sunglasses grip.Chuckles is very padded on his tummy making the rucksack extremely comfortable for children to wear.
In his tail there’s a special zipped up compartment perfect for storing small valuables such as jewellery during swimming lessons or even pocket money for those day trips. At first I had slight concerns that Chuckles would be too small to fit all of P1s swim gear, but he is surprisingly spacious just like Mary Poppins bag!P1 looked so sweet going to school with Chuckles this morning and on arrival home with him, all water has been contained inside the bag and all her friends loved him too!
