Being a parent blogger where you are in a community of inspiring people it’s hard not to get excited when it comes to big events in the year. Over the past three years I have seen a new tradition of hampers or baskets being created around Christmas, Valentine’s, Easter and Halloween and each time I have good intentions to join in. This Easter I have finally joined the hype.
We were super lucky to receive some gifts from Ollie & Leila to fill their basket up and I also went into Poundland to grab some bargains. Each Easter I really try to stay away from chocolate or sweet treats, I like to give the girls a couple of gifts each normally like a soft toy bunny or a book. This year we have a very definite craft theme going on as P2 is showing a real interest like her big sister.
Here’s what we’ve put inside our Easter Basket:
An Easter Egg Hunt Kit (£1 from Poundland)
Make Your Own Finger Puppets (£1 from Poundland)
Bunny Dress Up Kit (£7 from Not On The Highstreet)
Make Your Own Knitted Chick (£1 from Poundland)
Egg Painting Kit (£1 from Poundland)
Make Your Own Bunny Bunting (£2 from Hobbycraft)
Six Paint Your Own Eggs (£10 from Not On The Highstreet)
Pack of 12 Chicks (these were in the Easter sales last year for about 10p in Sainsburys)
Make Your Own Decoration (again, this was in the sale and was definitely under a £1 from Sainsburys)
Personalised Rabbit Easter Mug (£16 from Not On The Highstreet)
Have a look at my video to see each product separately.
Our Easter and the holidays are hopefully going to be so exciting this year. We have four Easter egg hunts planned already; one at home, one at my MiLs, one at the Wildlife Reserve and one at the local duck pond. Then of course we have all of the craft activities to get busy with. Hubby is also planning some visits to a zoo, soft play and swimming. Of course this is all dependent on when we get our car back.
What are your plans this Easter? Have you made an Easter basket?
Disclosure: We were gifted some Easter goodies from Ollie & Leila. However, all opinions and content remain my own.
