The Works Stationary & Craft Haul

So I don’t normally do posts like these on my blog and I don’t really know why because I really enjoy reading other people’s haul posts and being completely nosey. So when The Works got in contact I just couldn’t refuse. I have recently found myself to have a real love for stationary so naturally it was a perfect fit.

The Works has stores across the United Kingdom but I decided to browse online from my sofa one evening. The Works stocks books, toys, stationary, gifts and arts and crafts and selling at discounted prices. I was on the website for hours, putting things into my basket then removing them. I managed to get so much for my budget and I could have got more but restricted myself.

It arrived in a huge box and the excitement was so overwhelming. That sounds pretty ridiculous now that I’ve physically put it down in words but I really was so thrilled to be receiving new stationary and art bits for the girls. Here’s what I got for my budget:

Blue Floral Sticky Notes Folder - £2.00

Not only does the folder have a super cute design, it’s full of really useful sticky notes for every day organising.

A5 Scottie Dog Notebook - £2.00

I adore this design. My girls love dogs so this really appealed to me. The lines inside this are much wider than a usual notepad but I’m really excited to use this for all my blogging related ideas.

Ball Point Pens (Pack of 12 Assorted Colour) - £1.00

There’s 5 black and 5 blue, with 2 red ball point pens in this pack. For £1 I think it’s a great bargain!

Tipex Rapid - £2.00

Since getting more organised with my blogging diary I have needed to reach for the tipex a lot making amendments to the days I publish things. I love Tipex, it’s fast drying and makes things look a little neater than a scribble out.

Gold Stars Phonics Workbook - £2.00

P2 has been showing a real interest in learning and writing. I got her this Gold Stars Phonics book to help promote this. It’s for her age group, 3-5 years, and I love the little star stickers for when each page is completed.

Gold Stars Handwriting Practice Ages 6-7 - £2.00

P1 has been falling behind with her writing which is why I thought we’d buy something to help focus on that specifically.

Gold Stars Starting To Count Ages 3-5  - £2.00

As above, I love the Gold Star range and this one is perfect to help P2 begin on her learning journey.

Colouring Pencils Set Of 36 - £3.00

I was recently given some colouring books but never had any nice pencils. Well now I do and I’m not sharing them with anybody!

Fine Line Coloured Pens Pack Of 30 - £6.00

These pens are beautiful. They have such a thin tip and come in such a lovely array of colours too.

Eraser And Sharpener Set - £1.00

This is excellent value. A double and single sharpener with two erasers. I’m thinking of writing in my diary in pencil more often now.

Make Your Own Movable Farm Animals - £3.00

I bought this for the girls to make together when they are climbing the walls. It’s suitable for aged 3+ and is really cute.

Crochet Your Own Monkey and Frog Key Chains Bundle - £7.00

I love knitting and P1 has shown a real interest in sewing so I thought we could do this together as a bonding task.

A4 Drawing Pad 100 Sheets - £1.00

Again, my girls are so into drawing and arts. They are always asking for paper and so I decided to get them a new drawing pad. At £1 I really should have bought them one each but I’m hoping they can use these for their writing practice.

2 Forty Sheet A3 Drawing Pads - £2.00

I always want A3 paper but never get round to actually buying any so this time it was a perfect excuse. It was a pack of 2 for £2 and I can’t wait to give them to the girls. The paper is quite thin but will be perfect for being a base for collages.

So in total I spent £36 which qualifies for free delivery too. I am so pleased with everything I bought and the general ease of The Works website. Their products are such good quality. I’m really looking forward to getting organised and helping the girls get creative.
